As Non-Executive Director for property consultants Vickery Holman, Robert Camp performs the role of a “critical friend” offering independent advice to help the business see things from a different perspective.
“I admire what Robert achieved when he was Managing Partner of Stephens Scown. He is full of good ideas and sensible advice, but he also has the track record to show that he can deliver results,” says Mark Pellow, Vickery Holman’s Managing Director.
Robert attends Vickery Holman’s Board meetings and his independence from the firm has proved to be a useful asset. “He gives us an independent view that has helped to give us clarity about where we want the firm to go.
“As someone who is independent, he is able to challenge us and ask questions that would be harder for one of our other directors to do,” says Mark Pellow.
Robert’s track record of commercial success coupled with a focus on the wellbeing of employees is a good fit for Vickery Holman.
“Robert’s values are very similar to mine and what we are trying to achieve at Vickery Holman”, says Mark Pellow. “He genuinely cares about people and is interested in what they have to say. He has great ideas to improve employee wellbeing, which will in turn have an impact on our bottom line.”
