A Shared Philosophy

Andrew Woods first read about Robert Camp in the Law Society Gazette and knew that if he became Managing Director of his firm, Spratt Endicott, he wanted to take a similar approach.

Spratt Endicott is a law firm based in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. Andrew Woods became its Managing Director in 2018 and after a couple of years settling into the role, he invited Robert Camp to lead a series of workshops to help reboot the firm’s strategy.

“Robert was exactly what we needed. He shares our philosophy of ensuring we are a good place to work, where people feel valued and enjoy coming to work. But he also knows that getting the employee engagement and wellbeing right makes business sense.” Robert ran two sessions with Spratt Endicott in February 2020. The first was with the senior staff and the second with the firm’s shareholders. The outcome was a strategic plan for the firm to focus on over the next few years.

“Everyone who attended the workshops was very impressed with Robert. He knows what he is talking about because he’s done it himself. He knows what works – and is honest enough to share what he’s learnt from things that haven’t worked,” adds Andrew Woods.

Andrew was impressed with the way Robert ran the workshops. “He has a great style and kept things moving, allowing us to keep focussed without getting distracted. He also has a brilliant way of bringing everyone into the discussion. I’ve been at too many meetings where the person with the loudest voice dominates, but Robert made sure that didn’t happen for us.”
